Need
The director of product marketing sought M-Level Systems’ assistance in raising
the bar of performance for the development of an A-level global marketing team.
Primary objectives were to create a high performance cross-functional team and
build highly effective team leadership communication skills to enhance execution and
delivery of high quality outcomes with the team’s cross-functional internal partners
within the organization.

Solution
Diana Keith designed and implemented a high performance culture change initiative
with the product-marketing department. This included coaching and consulting with
key stakeholders and their team leader over a six-month period on project
management, coaching, strategic staff changes, team leadership, cross-functional
team improvement, conflict management, and virtual communication techniques.
Assessed existing team competencies and identified gaps needed to work effectively
as both an onsite and virtual cross-functional team. Virtually trained the team on
project management, listening skills, feedback delivery, and recognition.

Results
This project resulted in improved leadership, recognition from peers, and an
executive track promotion for the leader involved. The product director of marketing
said, “Working with Diana has made my team more in tune with the organizational
goals and their roles in it. Communication within and outside the team has
improved. I have also become a better leader, one who is perceptive to the
individual’s needs, while driving them to greater performance. We are now on track
and that has been recognized by others in the organization.”
